1 I have been registered to this e-mail circaultion for several years and find it extremely useful as a gauge of ongoing police activities, policies and news. As a former police officer still related to transport issues there is a related wealth of information that I find very useful on a weeekly basis and have used some of the information for my own purposes. 1 I am from Sussex Police Authority and found your new website very useful and easy to navigate, after an initial few minutes familiarising myself with it. The only thing missing is a phone no to contact you as I would like to ask if the costs to sign up actually apply to Police Authorities as the pacakages suggest for personal use only, and seeings as our papers are on the site I wondered if we were automatically given access. 1 A very useful site. My only issue regarding the Police Autority papaers was that it seemed to 'hang' on several occasions which made the retrieval of information very slow at times. Also it would be useful if there was some way of showing which links you have already accessed as you were onstantly retured to the top of the search results after you had viewed a document. 1 Has any thought been given to providing this service on a corporate basis and what would the charge for this be? I'm sure I am not the only one with the NPIA that will be able to make use of this valuable resource. A prompt response to this would be appreciated as it is anticipated that, at least on a personal level, a subscription will be purchased before the end of your current offer period. However I have been requested to enquire what the corporate charge would be and could be that I would pick up the facility under that provision. 1 I think the website is a fantastic resource and wish I had more time to spend looking through it. I will make time to log on again and explore further. First thoughts are that there are too many scroll bars on the front page, which make it difficult to take in and makes it look 'busy'. Having used the search facility I was impressed with this, but found navigating between the pages of results difficult. The addition of forward and back options would be useful, and also an underline to show which of the results pages you were on, I got a bit lost. Great work so far though, well done. 1 The keywords search facility is very narrow. There either needs to be a freetext search facility or more keywords such as domestic, violence, data, quality, victim etc to enable more detailed probing Submitted By: Guest Guest
